ARIANNOL Yn flynyddol, trwy gyfrwng yr Adroddiad hwn, rhannodd y corff llywodraethol sefyllfa ariannol yr ysgol yn llawn ac yn agored gyda’r rhieni. Ar ddiwedd blwyddyn ariannol 2010-2011 roedd gan yr ysgol ddiffyg o £138,336. Roedd hyn yn well na’r flwyddyn flaenorol pan oedd yr ysgol yn cario diffyg o £244,705. Cyflawnodd y corff llywodraethol archwiliad manwl a thrylwyr o’r ddarpariaeth. Gwnaed hyn er mwyn gwirio fod y ddarpariaeth yn bodloni’r gofynion statudol a hefyd i sicrhau nad oedd yna un-rhyw wastraff yn y modd y darparwyd yr holl gyrsiau. Hefyd, cyflawnwyd archwiliad manwl a thrylwyr o’r gyllideb wariant. Bwriad hyn eto oedd sicrhau bod y gyllideb yn cael ei gweithredu a’i gweinyddu yn y modd mwyaf effeithlon posib. Ar sail yr archwiliadau hyn gosodwyd cyllideb weithredol newydd o fewn y gyllideb a dirprwywyd. Yn ogystal, mae’r ysgol yn gweithredu cynllun busnes sy’n mynd i’r afael â’r diffyg hwn.
FINANCIAL The governing body has annually used this Report to convey the school’s financial situation fully and openly to the parents. At the end of the 2010-2011 financial year, the school had a deficit of £138336. This was much better than the previous year when the deficit was £244,705. The governing body completed a detailed and thorough audit of the provision. This was done to ensure that the provision satisfies the statutory requirements and also to ensure that there was no waste in the way all courses were provided. Additionally, a detailed and thorough audit of the ex-penditure budget was completed. The intention again was to ensure that the budget was imple-mented and administered in the most efficient way possible. Based on these audits, a new operational budget was set within the delegated budget. Additional-ly, the school is implementing a business plan to tackle this deficit.

Cynhaliwyd cyfarfod blynyddol diwethaf rhwng y Llywodraethwyr a’r rhieni ar 10/11/10 The last annual meeting between governors and parents was held on 10/11/10 Yn y cyfarfod blynyddol diwethaf ni chafwyd cworwm o rieni yn bresennol ac felly ni chymerwyd unrhyw benderfyniadau. In the last annual meeting there wasn’t a quorum of parents present, therefore no decisions were taken.
PROPECTWS NEWYDD Nid yw prospectws yr ysgol wedi newid ers y cyfarfod diwethaf . Serch hynny, diwed-darwyd y prospectws ar gyfer y chweched dosbarth. Mae’r ysgol yn ddiolchgar iawn i Mr Arwel Thomas am ei gyngor a’i waith caled i wella’r ddogfen bwysig hon. NEW PROSPECTUS The school prospectus has not been changed since the last meeting. However, the school’s sixth form prospectus was up-dated and the presentation improved. The school thanks Mr Arwel Thomas for his help and hard work in improving this very im-portant document.
A ydych wedi ystyried bod yn RHIANT LYWODRAETHWR? Have you considered being a PARENT GOVERNOR? Ym mis Medi 2012 mi fydd yna ddwy sedd wag ar gyfer Rhiant Llywodraethwr ar y Corff Llywodraethol. Danfonnir mwy o wybodaeth i’r rhieni ar ddechrau’r flwyddyn academaidd newydd. In September 2012 there will be a vacancy for two Parent Governors on the Governing Body. Further information will sent to parents at the beginning of the new academic year. b

ADOLYGU STRATEGAETHAU’R YSGOL / REVIEWING THE SCHOOL’S STRATEGIES Adolygwyd Cynllun Datblygu’r ysgol a thargedau’r ysgol gan y Llywodraethwyr a chynhaliwyd adolygiad llawn gan yr adrannau a’r Llywodraethwyr gan gynhyrchu adroddiad hunan arfarnu cynhwysfawr. Mae copïau o’r dogfennau hyn i’w gweld ar wefan yr ysgol. The school reviewed the School Development Plan and the school targets. The departments and the Governors carried out a thorough review producing a comprehensive self evaluation document. Both documents can be seen on the school website.
ANGHENION ADDYSGOL YCHWANEGOL Mae yna 1 athro a thîm o gynorthwywyr dysgu yn yr Adran Gynnal. Hefyd, cyfloga’r ysgol wasanaeth cwn-selydd annibynol. Mae gan yr ysgol bolisi addysg arbennig sy'n diffinio sut mae'r ysgol yn ceisio cwrdd ag anghenion arben-nig pob disgybl. Lluniwyd y polisi yn unol â gofynion Côd Ymarfer Addysg Arbennig. Ymatebir i sefyllfa disgyblion unigol trwy wahanol ddulliau megis tynnu allan o wersi penodol neu trwy roi athro/cynorthwywr cynhaliol i mewn i wersi. Mae yna Ganolfan Ddyslecsia Ddwyieithog ac fe ddefnydir pecyn cyfrifiadurol integredig Successmaker’ i hybu sgiliau llythrennedd a rhifedd. Hefyd, gwneir defnydd o gynllun Dyfal Donc ar gyfer cryfhau medrusrwydd darllen yn y Gymraeg a’r Saesneg. Hefyd, trefnir gwersi i wella llawysgrifen rhai disgyblion. Dadansoddir anghenion disgyblion unigol gyda'r teulu er mwyn sicrhau partneriaeth gref ac effeithiol er budd y disgybl. Ar hyn o bryd mae 9 disgybl yn destun Datganiad Anghenion Addysgol Arbennig ac mae tua 160 o blant ar Gofrestr Addysg Arbennig yr ysgol. Mae gan un o'r Llywodraethwyr gyfrifoldeb am oruchwylio gwaith yr ysgol yn y maes hwn. Sefydlwyd cyd-weithrediad da rhwng yr ysgol a'r Sir gan gynnwys y gwasanaeth seicolegol addysgol a chydag asiant-aethau eraill. Mae’r adeilad ysgol wedi ei ddylunio’n briodol ac yn fwriadus er mwyn hwyluso mynediad a symudiad pobl anabl ac mae proses o fonitro rheolaidd gan y Pennaeth. Adolygir polisi hygyrchedd yr ysgol yn flynyddol gan y Pennaeth a’r Llywodraethwr sy’n gyfrifol am Iechyd a Diogelwch. ADDITIONAL LEARNING NEEDS The Learning Support Department comprises 1 teacher and a team of learning assistants. The school also employs the services of an independent counsellor. The school's special education policy sets out how the school endeavours to meet each pupil's special educational needs. The policy reflects the requirements of the Code of Practice. There is a range of provi-sion to meet individual needs ranging from withdrawal from certain lessons to providing a support teacher/assistant within lessons. There is a Bilingual Dyslexia Unit and ‘Successmaker’, an integrated computer package to support literacy and numeracy, is used. The ‘Catch Up’ programme is used to develop reading skills in Welsh and in Eng-lish. There are also classes to help pupils improve their handwriting. During the process of identifying and analysing a pupil's specific needs the school works closely with par-ents so that a strong and effective partnership is established. At present 9 pupils have Statements of Spe-cial Educational Needs and there are around 160 children on the school’s special needs register. One of the Governors has been nominated to take a specific interest in special needs. Good links have been established between the school and the County including the Educational Psychology Service and other external agencies. The school site and building have been designed to fully meet the needs of disabled pupils and adults and a process of monitoring is in place and run by the Headteacher. The school’s accessibility policy is re-viewed yearly by the Headteacher and the Governor responsible for Health and Safety.

CHWARAEON / SPORT Yn ogystal â’r gweithgareddau a drefnir gan yr Adran Addysg Gorfforol yn yr Ysgol, mae’r ysgol yn rhedeg cynllun 5x60. In addition to the activities arranged by the Physical Education Department in the school, Penweddig runs a 5x60 program. Nod Gyffredinol y rhaglen 5x60 ym Mhenweddig: Cynyddu nifer y disgyblion sy’n cymryd rhan mewn chwaraeon all-gyrsiol a gweithgaredd corfforol yn rhe-olaidd. Drwy hynny, cyfrannu at darged Llywodraeth Cynulliad Cymru o gael 90% o ddisgyblion yn cymryd rhan mewn gweithgaredd rheolaidd ac aml erbyn 2020. Overall Aim of the 5x60 programme in Penweddig: To increase the number of children who take part in extra curricular sport and physical activity on a regular basis and in so doing, contribute to achieving the Welsh Assembly Governments target of 90% of children taking part in regular and frequent activity by 2020.
