отечественного рынка ШПД
UA-IX stability as requirement for the Ukrainian broadband market
development
UA-IX Brief History and Present State2000 – UA-IX has been founded at UkrSat site2001 – New site DG at Leontovicha 92003 – New site TSUA at Leontovicha 92004 – 1GE member ports available2007 – First Extreme Networks BlackDiamond 8810 installed2007 – First 10GE member connection2009 – New site Mirohost at Gaydara 502011 – IPV6 implemented and fully supported2011 – F-ROOT and I-ROOT DNS servers installed September 2012:
Members: 122Ports: 182Traffic: 282 Gbps
UA-IX key features
Strong L2-L4 security (1 MAC per port, prefix based BGP filters, protected ARP, RFC-1918 traffic filtered out)
Strict syntax compliance of all records in RIPE database (main requirement to join)
Mandatory IPv4 and optional IPv6 peering with two Cisco ASR route-servers (RS)
All networks of member’s AS must be announcedAll networks from RS must be receivedNo private peering
UA-IX and External Traffic
UA-IX Traffic Decrease Nov 2011 – Sep 2012

Results and Foresight
Scalability100 GE Ready (beginning of Y2013, depends on CFP2 modules market launch)TRILL-ready (end of Y2012 expected)No more bottlenecks
Interconnect between sites - 160 Gbps (up to 640 Gbps on 40 GE ports)
Core system performance - 20.48 Tbps (increased more then 50 times)
Costs savingCost-effective Summit X650 and X670 continue to be used to enable
