You can jailbreak 3.55 and below If you are not on 3.55 you have to downgrade.

How do i know that it is running on 3.55 ? Go to System

settings and then to System information

Just a USB drive and your PS3 on 3.55 If you are below 3.55

Im not on 3.55 can i jailbreak ?

If you are below 3.55 -> Yes Then you are lucky

Update to 3.55 Go and follow some tutorial to jailbreak your PS3

If you are higher then 3.55 -> No

Then you have to downgrade. There is no way now to jailbreak on > 3.55 without

downgrade They are all scams !

How to prevent bricking your PS3 Only change files that you know Do what the tutorial says and try to

understand it (use your brain ;) Never Turn you're PS3 off if you think

you done something wrong (just find the original files)

Always back up the files you are modding

Never delete files from the system that you dont know what they are doing.

Signs of a brick: -Black screen -RSOD -Freezes in XMB -Auto turn on and off

So what is the best method to hack my ps3 ?

For now only JAILBREAK 3.55 ONLY
