บทนำา

การเปลยนแปลงสภาพแวดลอมทางธรกจในปจจบน อนเนองมาจากความกาวหนาของเทคโนโลย ดจทล ในขณะเดยวกนเกดสถานการณโรคระบาดทสงผลทวถงกนทงโลก ทำาใหจำาเปนตองม หลกสตรบรหารธรกจทใหทงความร พนฐานทางการบรหารธรกจทเขมแขง และผนวกความรดานเทคโนโลยดจทล ทสงผลสำาคญตอธรกจ และองคความรทจะทำาใหสามารถจดการกบความเสยงทางธรกจไวดวย ยงไปกวานนโมเดลการพฒนาประเทศ ดานเศรษฐกจในยค Thailand 4.0 ทเนนเศรษฐกจทขบเคลอนดวย นวตกรรม และการเตบโตของเศรษฐกจ ดจทลทเปลยนแปลงหลาย ๆ ดานของธรกจดงเดมทวโลก ลวนผลกดนใหตองมหลกสตร บรหารธรกจทใหความรทจำาเปนในการจดการกระบวนการทางธรกจททนสมย บนความไมแนนอน และตอบสนองการเปลยนแปลงอยางรวดเรวได รวมทงสงเสรมทกษะในศตวรรษท 21 ใหกบบณฑตดวย หลกสตรบรหารธรกจบณฑต (หลกสตรนานาชาต) ฉบบนจงไดรบการออกแบบมาเพอ ตอบสนองการดำาเนนธรกจสมยใหม ผนกทงความร ทกษะ และทศนคตทจำาเปนสำาหรบการจดการ ธรกจรวมสมย

หลกสตรบรหารธรกจบณฑต (หลกสตรนานาชาต) ของวทยาลยนานาชาต มหาวทยาลยวลยลกษณ มงสรางบณฑตทมคณภาพสงโดยใชวธการเรยนการสอนทสงเสรมการพฒนาอยางตอเนอง ทงในกลมรายวชาศกษาทวไปและรายวชาเฉพาะ เปนหลกสตรนานาชาตทเปดโอกาสใหนกศกษาไดเรยนร ในสภาพแวดลอมแบบนานาชาต ทประกอบไปดวยอาจารยและนกศกษาจากหลากหลายประเทศ รวมถงโอกาสในการไดรบประสบการณแลกเปลยนการศกษาในตางประเทศ ซงจะทำาให บณฑตมศกยภาพในการบรหารธรกจในระดบนานาชาต โครงสรางหลกสตร ประกอบดวยหนวยกตทงหมด 127 หนวยกต มรายวชาดานการบรหารธรกจและการจดการทเขมขน และรายวชาเกยวกบเทคโนโลย ดจทลททนสมยและมความสำาคญตอธรกจสมยใหม เชน

Artificial Intelligence, Big Data ตลอดจน เทคโนโลย Digital Currency and Blockchain นอกจากนยงมงหวงทจะผลตบณฑตทสามารถแขงขน ไดในระดบนานาชาต ไมเพยงแตในดานการบรหารธรกจโดยทวไป แตยงรวมไปถงความรเฉพาะใน 3 ดาน ไดแก ธรกจระหวางประเทศ โลจสตกสและซพพลายเชน และการทองเทยวและการบรการ เพอใหบณฑตม โอกาสกวางในการประกอบอาชพ ลกษณะพเศษอกประการหนงของหลกสตรคอ การพฒนาทกษะดาน การวจยทางธรกจ รวมถงทกษะความเปนผนำา ซงจะชวยใหบณฑตมความแตกตาง ทำาใหมโอกาสกาว หนาในเสนทางอาชพไดรวดเรวยงขน

กระบวนการจดการเรยนการสอนเนนกระบวนการเรยนรเชงรก บรณาการทฤษฎกบการปฏบต รวมทงจดกจกรรมเสรมหลกสตร ทกรายวชาจดการเรยนการสอนในหองเรยนอจฉรยะ ดวยวธการเรยนร เชงรก โดยเฉพาะอยางยงเนนใชกรณศกษาทางธรกจเปนเครองมอในการสอน ชวยใหนกศกษาคนเคย กบการบรหารธรกจจรง การนำากรอบมาตรฐานวชาชพ United Kingdom Professional Standard Framework (UKPSF) ของสหราชอาณาจกรมาใชในทกรายวชา ชวยใหเกดประสทธผลในการเรยนร ของนกศกษาไดเปนอยางด ทสำาคญกวานน หลกสตรนจดใหมสหกจศกษาในองคกรทมชอเสยง ทงในและตางประเทศ เพอเพมพนทกษะและประสบการณใหบณฑตมความพรอมในการประกอบอาชพไดจรง นอกจากน หลกสตรยงมงสรางบณฑตคณภาพ ผมคณธรรมจรยธรรม และความสามารถตามปณธาน ของมหาวทยาลยวลยลกษณ โดยจดใหมการสอบประมวลความรกอนจบการศกษา เพอรบรอง คณภาพของบณฑตดวย

Executive Summary

The change in business environment due to digital technology advance as well as the sudden pandemic incidence necessitated the need for a business administration program that provides strong foundational knowledge of business administration, incorporates knowledge in digital technology, and in dealing with business risks. Moreover, with regards to Thailand 4.0 economic model which focuses on innovation-driven economy, and the rise of digital economy transforming many aspects of traditional businesses around the world, there is need for a curriculum that offers the requisite knowledge to manage modern business operation, change and uncertainty, and foster 21st century skills. Thus, this Bachelor of Business Administration (International Program) is designed to provide knowledge, skills, and attitude required for contemporary business management.

Bachelor of Business Administration (International Program) aims to create high quality graduates using learning and teaching methods that promote continuous improvement of both general education and major units. This is an international program which gives students the opportunity to learn in an international environment, with staff and students from different parts of the world, including oversea exchange experience to enhance international capacity development. With 127 credits in total, it accommodates strong business administration and management foundation, as well as modern digital technology knowledge such as Digital Currency, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Digital Currency and Blockchain Technology. Moreover, it aims to produce graduates who can compete at international level not only in general business administration but

also in specific areas, namely, international business, logistics and supply chain, and tourism and hospitality. Another unique characteristic of the program is that it develops business research skills as well as leadership skills for graduates which support them to progress on their career paths more rapidly.

The program uses active learning methods and integrates theory with practice as well as provide extra-curriculum activities. All courses are taught in smart classrooms with active learning approach, mainly case-based which enables students to be familiar with the real business cases. The implementation of United Kingdom Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF) to all courses well support students’ learning effectiveness. More importantly, the program incorporates cooperative education in famous domestic and oversea organizations, enhancing practical experience to produce ready to work graduates. Also, the program develops quality graduates who are ethically sound and talented in accordance with the University’s determination. Comprehensive examination is provided to ensure the quality of the graduates.

Active learning is encouraged in all courses especially case-based learning approach is used in majority of the courses. Apart from case-study based learning approach, the course co-ordinator of each course decides the learning approach or combination of learning approaches that best suit the course and the program objectives. UKPSF is adopted as a framework of teching and learning. The evaluation method for all courses is a combination of both formative and summative assessment. The formative assessment in every topic enables lecturers to monitor students’ performance and provide feedback to students to enhance effective learning. All lecturers in the program have undergone UKPSF training and UKPSF certification is encouraged.

This program is managed by Walailak University International College (WUIC). WUIC has established collaboration with high quality universities internationally, namely, University of Essex, Conventry University, Middlesex University all in the UK and College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, in China. WUIC is extending the collaborations to include this program. Economic development factors The government of Thailand is focused on

Free movement of skilled labors around the world and especially among ASEAN Economic Community member countries has caused development of graduates to be able to work in the country and abroad. Additionally, the uncertainty in business environment caused by pandemic and political situations across the world, has brought about the need for business administration curriculum that incorporate risk management, drastic change management and business sustainability in line with the sustainable development goals (SDGs).

The vision and mission of the university As the university set vision to produce and

improve workforce to align with national economic and social development. It aims to create new knowledge development for self-sustainability and international competitiveness. The university also aims to produce graduates who have high quality as well as skills; academic and professional, language, and information technology. The graduates should be able to transform knowledge and skills into a real world in both domestic and international environments. Thus, the core aim of the university is to push learning/teaching model and development of new curriculum to increase the potential of the students to be acceptable and thrive in an international stage.

Program developmentRegarding to economic, social, and cultural

contexts that stimulate Education 4.0, a future education heading to create human as innovation creator, from Education 3.0 where knowledge is the key success factor, which learners are required to have learning skill from various learning sources and be able to work as a team. This program, thus, has developed its teaching model in Education 4.0 system strongly so that learners will be expert in business administration, and information technology knowledge and skills. Considering the changes in businesses through technologies like artificial intelligence, robotics, internet of things and others, the program is developed to equip graduates with the requisite skills for 21st century business administration and lifelong learning skills to be able to respond to drastic change and cope with future technology disruption that may occur in the world. The program also aims to produce graduates who are strongly committed to professional ethics as well as graduates who have specific employability skills to serve the needs of both public and private sector. Therefore, this program is developed to produce work ready graduates who are capable of dealing with changes in domestic and international level.

Philosophy and significanceThe Bachelor of Business Administration

(International Program) of Walailak University International College aims at producing graduates who are knowledgeable about and competent at business administration in the 21st century with the ability to apply knowledge and deal with change and uncertainty. The program trains the students in core business administration as well as in International business, logistics and supply chain management, and/or hospitality, and tourism. In addition to developing academic strength, the program cultivates the graduates to become global citizens equipped with moral and ethical senses and possess leadership and lifelong learning skills.

Curriculum strengths1) The curriculum offers graduates more career

opportunities by providing strong foundation on key matters in business administration as well as opportunity to learn from diverse set of elective courses in international business, logistics and supply chain, tourism, and hospitality.

2) Ensure modern business knowledge and technological skills especially in digital era such as Big data in business, Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, and Digital Currency and Blockchain Technology. The curriculum has been developed to suit the current trend in business administration and to ensure lifelong learning skills development. At the same time, emphasize on good governance, ethics, and social responsibility.

Conditions for general education English Language courses are as follows:

1. Thai students exclude Thai students in International program must pass the examination of GEI61-002 Fundamental English. Once the result has met the requirement, other Egnlsih courses in general education can be registered.

2. Thai and international students with a TOEFL (Paper-Based) score not less than 530 or IELTS score of not less than 6, or other equivalent tests as shown in the table are exempt for the three General Education English courses, as follows: 2.1. GEI61-121 English Communication Skills 2.2. GEI61-122 Academic Listening and Speaking 2.3. GEI61-123 Academic Reading and WritingStudents have to choose other English courses in order to have the total number of credits as specified in the program.

3. Thai and international students with a TOEFL (Paper-Based) score between 513-529, IELTS score of 5.5 or other equivalent tests as shown in the table are exempt for two courses from the above courses. Students can choose one of the three courses above and choose to substitute courses that are excluded in order to have the total number of credits as specified in the program.

4. Thai and international students with a TOEFL (Paper-Based) score between 508 - 510, IELTS scores of 5 or other equivalent tests as shown in the table are exempt from one of the above courses. Students can choose two courses from the three courses above and choose to substitute courses that are excluded in order to have the total number of credits as specified in the program.

5. Thai and international students with a TOEFL (Paper-Based) score between 437 - 507, IELTS scores of 4-4.5 or other equivalent tests as shown in the table must study all three general English courses. Student

must pass the examination of GEI61-002 Fundamental English as mentioned in condition no.1

6. Student of Walailak University International College with a TOEFL (Paper-Based) score less than 530, IELTS scores less than 6 or other equivalent tests as shown in the table can register for Pre-College English at Walailak University Language Institue and submit the new exam results as the list of exams shown in the table before the first semester. Those scores will be used in considering as written in the condition no. 2-4

7. International students of nationality using English as their first language. Thai students who have completed secondary and high school education from countries that use English as their first language or international schools. And international students who do not hold citizenship of a country that uses English as their first language but have graduated from secondary and high school from a country that uses English as their first language, are exempt for the three General Education English courses. If students have to use basic Thai communication, student can choose to study GEI61-111 Thai for Daily Life Communication or GEI61-112 Thai for Academic Communication as a replacement of exemption courses.

required to take a test on 3 categories of Fundamental Thai include Thai Grammar, Thai Literatures and Thai Usage; Thai Grammar covers natural language, 3 groups of Thai alphabets, vowels, order of tone marks, syllable, genre of words, word creation and genre of sentences; Thai literatures cover basic knowledge of literatures, the understanding of pre - university education literatures and interpretation; Thai usage covers orders of language, comprehension, recapitulation, explanation, judgmental listening, oratory, Thai idiom usage and Ra-cha-sap.

The lessons include reading and writing according to Thai phonological system. The students will read and write Thai consonants, vowel and tones. In addition, they will study word formation, vocabulary and sentence construction for basic writing and conversation.

There is a research advisor to give advice on making research proposals or research projects. Research advisor advises on a research topic, information about research and data source and research process. Research advisor sets a timely operational plan and schedule counseling hours, also follow the progress of the project or research. There is a format for making a complete report. In this regard, research advisors are encouraged to practice in the organization in order to develop the application of theory to actual work, understand how the organization works and in order to have research problems for students

Verification at the course level

Verification process should be performed in both theory and practical parts. The college committee is the verifying body to make sure evaluation was done correctly. The program committee should evaluate examination papers and teaching and learning methods in order to make sure that course has been delivered and achieved its objectives stated in TQF.3

GraduateThe program sets a system to follow up the quality of

graduates as learning outcome or expected learning outcome. The process includes learning outcome assessment, exit comprehensive examination result, knowledge on the job, and demand of labor market and society, using both quantity and quality approach. Satisfaction and expectation of stakeholders are performed annually. The information will provide the

The program assigns workload to the lecturer who is knowledgable, has expertise, experience, and interested in the course. Student assessmentProgram committee directs and assesses

learning/teaching management. Before new semester begins, TQF3 or TQF4 must be cooperatively specified by the lecturers and approved by the program committee, to ensure that the teaching method, assessment method, and quality of course management are aligned with the course and program expectation and coherent with other related courses. Within 30 days at the end of each semester, lecturers have to report teaching result in TQF5 or TQF6. The program committee analyze the overall result of operation of the year and report in TQF7, within 60 days after the semester ended.

Current availability instructional resource The current availability of instructional resources,

Evaluation and improvement plan4.1 Lecturers provide learning outcome assessment

using TQF5 or TQF6, as adequate. Verification process should be performed at the end of each semester.

4.2 At the end of each academic year, the Program Committee must evaluate the program operation as stated in TQF7. Analysis of efficiency and effectiveness of program management should be performed and reported to the College Committee. This is aimed for operation improvement in the following years.

4.3 Program committee collect related data from the assessment of students, graduate, employer satisfaction, and data from TQF5, TQF6, and TQF7. Also, bring the assessment results in subject level and program level to analyze for management, planning, and revision of the curriculum.
