Now a days, most of us are busy of working or goingto school. And for those reasons we never get to

relax. And it makes us think how good it must feelwhen times were not like this. When all we careabout is having fun and exploring. It makes uswish we are in our own barrios where we

overslept, eat fresh fruits from our backyard andeven ride a carabao if we have a chance. What abeautiful thought.

And since you want it back but you know

you cant, we always look for alternatives likemaking a nipa hut inspired transient house. Letsnot forget our past for it is the bridge to ourpresent and a plane ticket to our future.

Those people who live in the city thinks thatit is a punishment when they are sent to barrioto visit a relative or so. But they just don’t

realize how lucky they are. And just like them I think I'm lucky toobecause in the modern times we still get to seewhat was long forgotten and buried beyond allthose enormous and fancy villas and mansions.

Most are drowned in search of luxuries for theythink it is what makes them happy. Humans

compete with there neighbors to show off.When ever there are visitors they proudly saywelcome to our home. God, your referring toyour fabulous house. But home is not made ofcement, marbles or woods. Its walls are thecaring hands, the floor is a skin that protectsetc but all in all home is love. And I felt that inthis transient house.

yahoo! Were at the 4 th place that we went to visit. Whilewere there we enjoyed the comforting environment while cooking.And the dish was nice too, its called coconut patties. I'm so thankfulMrs. Rowena del Castillo let us visit her native house made of bambooand other native materials.

The house is very durable even if its been built over a yearnow but its still eye catching. And useful too because ate Rowenatold us that they prefer to celebrate occasions in that place becauseits cozy and nice plus its practical also because they don’t have topay to have fun. The surrounding is absolutely perfect for relaxation.I live that place that I want to own it. (just look at the title of thisarticle.)

Native House is very attractive to the eyes.

That’s why Ate Rowena decided to have a housemade by bamboo. She told us that this house istransient because she visits the house everyafternoon from three pm to six pm, andtransient means short duration or staying in withshort period of time. This place is relaxingbecause of its garden; you can find many plants,orchids and grasses. She told us that after herwork she immediately visits this place to waterthe plants and clean up the mess and smoking allthe dried leaves. And every time they have an

occasion they prefer to celebrate it in herTransient House.GERONGA



The first time I saw isas transient house I was quiet amazedby its design. It looks like a common house that we see on theside of a road on barrios. But if you look even closer you willsee that its made of native materials and a lot of efforts areused in building such nice house.

The place was surrounded with different flowers, plants andeven trees. Aside from that it has other decoration like windchimes made of sea shells. The creator of that house must bevery creative and precise. I wish I could have a wonderful

transient house just like that in the future.

Coconut patties

Ingredients:Grated young coconut 3 pcs.Flour ½ kiloEgg 3 pcsOil(palm or coconut) 1 bottleOnions 3 pcs.Salt 1 tablespoonSeasonings

Procedure:1. Mix grated coconut with flour.2. Mix the eggs salt, seasonings and

onion in separate bowl.3. Pour the mixture in the mix flour

and grated coconut. Mix well.

4. Prepare pan and oil.5. Make the mixture into plat circles.6. Fry until golden brown

Good for 4 servings
