It is alleged that the s c h o o l ' s n e w l y a p p o i n t e d d e p u t y principal called the parents of the learners. (According to a source, Mr S Budhram was not at school on Friday).
According to another source, “the Indian parents picked their kids up but the black kids starting assaulting the guard. The cops were called and the two b l a c k k i d s w e r e arrested.”
A learner who was i n t e r v i e w e d o n Monday, outside the Glenhills Secondary School gates, which were locked, claimed that the principal, Mr S Budhram said that the “two Indian children must go home and the black kids must be arrested.” The same learner said that after t h e i n c i d e n t t w o educators called all “black” learners to

ATM Safety against card skimming

Card Skimming or card cloning uses a Card Skimming device to fraudulently copy bank customer details stored o n t h e m a g n e t i c s t r i p (brown/black strip at the back) on a debit or credit card. The customer and card information stolen with skimming devices is often used to manufacture counterfeit (duplicate) cards which criminals use to make fraudulent transactions on a victim's account.Card skimming around ATMS
Card fraud perpetrators use various scams and social engineering tactics to trick naïve ATM users and skim their bank cards. These are some of the most widespread scams:Skimming of card and shoulder surfing customer pins:
• The perpetrators approach unsuspecting ATM users prior to or after concluding a transaction and claim to work for the bank. (Never trust anyone who approaches in the queue claiming to be a bank employee rather go into the bank for help)
The target is advised to 're-activate' their cards by swiping the card through a 'card

The perpetrators use the stolen card information to manufacture a counterfeit card and match the customer PIN to the new card to make fraudulent transactions.Tips to avoid becoming a victim of card skimming theft (ATM SAFETY TIPS):
Never give your card to someone at an ATM for any reason;
Never let anyone assist you at an ATM, even if they appear to be a bank official or security personnel;
Beware of people standing close to you when you are concluding transactions at an ATM;
Ensure you hide your pin when keying it into an ATM.
Never use an ATM that looks tampered with or damaged.
Always use an ATM in a well-lit area.
If possible, use an ATM that is monitored by a CCTV camera.

Auditor General’s report on KDM’s Audit
By Xpress Reporter
At a full council meeting in the KwaDukuza Municipality (KDM) Council Chambers on Friday, a representative from the office of the Auditor General (AG) delivered a report on the year ended 30 June 2015.
The official started with the analysis on the Internal Audit Department (IAD) and c o m m e n t e d t h a t t h e “continued lack of capacity in the department and the inability of the department to
complete the approved Audit Plan and cover all significant risk areas in the municipality within the financial year, were again raised as major concerns on a number of occasions.”
The official then added that the insufficient capacity in (IAD) impacted on their
Environmental Awards at Town Hall
assessment of the control environment and limits the number of control and compliance reviews and assessments that could have been completed which in turn r e s t r i c t s t h e A u d i t Committee's ability to fulfill its responsibilities.
The Audit Committee expressed concern that KDM's internal control environment was not yet fully effective to ensure clean administration based mainly on the internal and external audit findings as well as the quarterly dash board report of the Auditor-General.
What this means is that KDM, for the past five years have a received a satisfactory audit and is striving for the gold standard which is a clean audit.
The AG cited “two grants
totaling R15.5 million had to be returned to National T r e a s u r y d u r i n g t h e 2014/2015 financial year and that a number of the grants awarded to the Municipality (KDM) were not spent by the end of the financial year.”
The report also detailed how KwaDukuza Municipality “runs the risk of also losing these grants” because strategic infrastructure which KDM itself planned could be in jeopardy.
Towards the end of the report the Auditor General always p r o v i d e s p o s i t i v e recommendat ions l ike : “Council should ensure awareness of the policies on Ethics, Whistleblowing and Fraud and Corruption by means of workshops with the relevant stakeholders and roll out to staff.”

At 7am he returned to the temple and found two brass statues valued at R16 000 missing. Later that day police were called to a scrap metal dealer on the Doesberg Road who apprehended a youth who sold the items to them. He was paid a meager R280 for bo th s t a tue s . Ndlovu in his defense claims he wanted to sell the items to impress his employer and give him the money. His slip up has cost him his job and he is due back at court on 27 January.

Boston recognised by CompTia (USA) as the top training and certification partner
So, you want to study, and love computers? Well, most people love computers it has become our way of communicating, shopping, studying, entertaining ourselves and others. Computers are not just found on our desks our tablets and phones perform the same functions. Yes, we know you can't get through one hour without checking out that lit screen! But is this how you want to earn your living?
Boston City Campus & Business College has always been staying in touch with industry and creating graduates that are work-ready - persons who can contribute meaningfully to the company they work for. Two IT Diplomas are on offer both accredited by the CHE (Council on Higher Education). These diplomas will ensure that you can indulge your passion and find your dream job in a well-paying industry. A Systems Developer earns an average salary of R265 131 per year in South Africa. (A skill in JavaScript is associated with the high pay for this job.)
Mark Cohen is the CTO of Domain G r o u p , a n i n t e r n a t i o n a l I T Professional, and former lecturer at Boston. He explains what systems developers do in the company: “systems developers create, maintain, audit and improve systems to meet the needs of the company. They test both hardware and software systems and diagnose and resolve system faults. It is a pressurised job that often strays beyond the average 9am 5pm day. Developers will also create diagnostic programs, and design and write code for business systems. My team works incredibly hard!”
D e p e n d i n g o n t h e t y p e o f organisation, developers can become either systems or applications specialists. Says Cohen, “You know those ' apps” you are a lways downloading? Wouldn't it be great to make your own? There is no challenge that my team can't face. Almost any problem or need can be solved by creating an app”. Systems developers' jobs are generally of a highly complex and technical nature, and it requires talent for computer science and mathematics. Cohen continues, warning that IT is not a study-once career: “all IT positions are constantly evolving, due to technological advances. If you select IT as your career you must be prepared for lifelong learning.”
Job titles in IT are not standardised, so when you are doing your research on which jobs are available, you need to search for various opportunities i n c l u d i n g s y s t e m s / s o f t w a r e / database/web programmers, engineers

L e f t a r m q u i c k T r e v a l Thirumugum was brought back into the attack and he added to Manors poultry farm, sending Shaun back for a duck when he was given out LBW. or developers. You also need to look in various industries media is an example of an industry with a large demand for persons with IT skills. Says Cohen, “while programming itself does not require people skills, your role may require you to communicate with teams and managers, as well as clients. So you will need some people skills”.
Given this overview of systems development what can you get from the Diploma in Network Systems offered by Boston? Cohen explains that “Network computer systems administrators take care of, install, and organize the network's local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs) and intranets, as well as support an organization's computer systems and other data communication systems. It is a far more hands-on job, so to speak. You need to be active, you need to have energy, and you need to be a great problem solver. As with all IT positions, it is vital to remain current because IT changes rapidly.”
Boston has been recognised by CompTia (USA) as the top training and certification partner, being: the largest certification partner in Africa; the 3rd largest global certification partner; and CAPP partner of the year (all 2015). Therefore, with Boston, there are always courses available to update or upgrade your skills.
A network systems administrator oversees an organization's mobile, server and desktop equipment. They discuss the organisation's needs in computer and network systems and then install it: both hardware and software. They also manage the security of the systems, protect against viruses and secure the data storage. They ensure employees remain connected to the organisation's central c o m p u t e r n e t w o r k .Telecommunications networks, such as Telkom or Cell C, are sometimes managed by Network System administrators.
In order to work in networking or in programming and development, you will need knowledge of mathematics, c o m p u t e r s a n d e l e c t r o n i c s ,administration and management as well as theEnglish language. You will also need essential skills such as crit ical thinking, reading and comprehension, complex problem solving and systems evaluation. And to acquire all the above mentioned knowledge and skills, an accredited IT diploma from Boston will set you on the path to becoming the boss.

DR MAMA HANNAAfter 10 years of divorce ‘‘HE CAME BACK’’ our family had
everything and life was good. My husbands family hated me. He left me to suffer with 4 kids I was directed to MAMA HANNA by a
friend who she had helped with a promotion at work. She read my fortune, & told me all my problems without mentioning them
through her spiritual water. Cleansed me from bad luck and gave me powerful love crystals plus special ring to fix my financial
problems. My husband MR NABIL came back and got remarried again. Try Mama Hanna she does solve many problems.
Call or Whatsapp : 081 061 7740RICH INDIAN WOMEN TESTIFIES HER SECRET OF SUCCESS!!!!!
I am Pillay Salma 38 years old living in Tongaat. It is true that my success is not a gift but a decision I made it. It took me a while to trust anybody since I was destroyed by the
previous doctors, sangoma’s and herbalists that used in the past. They disappointed me until today I cannot get hold of them as their phones are not answered. I called a business friend of mine for help and she shared a secret of success which was Mama Hanna changed her life and became rich though the short boys that put 500 000 in her
account and every month she pay 100 000 to Mama Hanna. It was a dream until she showed me her bank statement. I also got the same short boys and my life changed I and my family we are financially happy. Thanks to MAMA HANNA. Disappointed with other doctors.

Dear Dad,Each morning when we awakewe know that you are gone. And no one knows the heartacheAs we try to carry on.
Our hearts still ache with sadnessand many tears still flow. What it meant to lose you,No one will ever know.
Our thoughts are always with you, your place no one can fill.In life we loved you dearly,In death we love you still.
Who was called to rest on 06/02/2015. Born on 05/03/1969
YOU HAVE BEEN CALLED HOME AND A YEAR HAS PASSED
There will always be a heartache, and often a silent tear,But always a precious memoryOf the days when you were here.
If tears could make a staircase,And heartaches make a lane,We'd walk the path to heavenAnd bring you home again.
We hold you close within our hearts,And there you will remain,To walk with us throughout our livesUntil we meet again.
Our family chain is broken now,And nothing will be the same,But as God calls us one by one,The chain will link again.
Sadly missed by his wife Dolly, Son Ryan, daughters Rocksan and Rehana, son-in-law Suraj and Justin, grandsons Kyle and Carter and only grand daughter Cheyanne and mother in-law
In memory of our late Dad

Poor response for schools cricket leagueThere has been a poor response for
the schools cricket league (hosted by iLembe Primary Schools Cricket) which gets underway on Thursday, February 4.
Seven schools will contest the Krish Maharaj memorial Under 11 League and the Gings Reddy Under 13 League which kicks off on Thursday.
In the Under11 ranks Manor Primary School, Glenhills Primary and KwaDukuza Primary will be vying for honours in Pool A. North Coast Primary, Mandeni Academy and Zakarriya Muslim School (ZMS) will contest Pool B.
Matches will be played over two rounds (on a home and away basis) with the top two teams in each pool advancing to the semi's. The finals will take place on March 9 at the Country Club Ground.
In the Under-13 ranks Dawnview will replace Glenhills in pool A. The cross-over semi's in the Under-13 ranks will take place on March 14 with the final scheduled to take place on March 16 at the Country Club Ground.
Meanwhi l e , iLembe Primary School will host the Under-11 cricket trials on February 6/7 at the Umhlali Prep School commencing at
STANGER'S FINEST: Standing (L-R): Gulam Suleman, Danny Naidoo, Ryan Naidoo, Daya Naidoo, M Naidoo, Sunny N and Roy Naidoo; Middle row (L-R): Ajith Singh, Anand Naidoo, Gopal Govender, Mahalingum Govender, Pat Naidoo, Papoo Akbar and Mohammed Sayed Motala; Seated (L-R): Harold Samuel, Dr S Asmal (Chairman), Juggoo Govender (Captain), Bernard Balkissoon (Vice-Captain), Manie Pillay (Manager) and Dawood Asmal
The cricketing talent within KwaDukuza in the 60's was described with many superlatives, attributed to individuals who made their mark with bat and ball as well as on the field. Royals were Super League champions of the Natal Cricket Board in seasons 1967 - 68

and 1969 - 70. The team was captained by one of Stanger's greatest cricketers, the Late Juggoo Govender. It comprised six players who represented the Natal Cricket Board during different periods in the i r ca reers , v iz . Juggoo Govender, Dawood Asmal, Papoo
Akbar, Harold Samuel, Guloo Hoosen and Mahalingum "Child" Govender. Dawood Asmal also represented the non-racial South African Cricket Board of Control on the tour of East Africa in 1956 - 57. That team was captained by Basil D'Oliviera.
KwaDukuza Volleyball Association (KDVA) will host a junior tournament volleyball selection tournament this Saturday, February 6 at the association courts commencing at 9.00am.
The tournament is open to secondary school boys (born 1997/1998) and girls (1998/1999). At the end of the tournament KDVA will announce a squad to participate in the KwaZulu Natal Volleyball Youth Championship scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 27 in Durban.
In preparation for the tournament, KDVA will host a coaching clinic for secondary school boys and girls on Friday, February 5. Players may attend any one of the two sessions on Friday. The first session will commence at 1.30pm and finish at 3pm with the second session scheduled to start at 3pm and finish at 5pm.
President of KDVA, Isaac Abraham urged the youth in the Ilembe District to take advantage of the free coaching sessions. Players from Maphumulo and Mandeni have already indicated their willingness to attend Friday's coaching clinic.
Abraham said: “Apart from receiving coaching, players will have an opportunity to represent Ilembe in the provincial tournament in the hope of representing KwaZulu Natal at the South African Youth Championship in Bloemfontein in July.”
Meanwhile, reigning KDVA Premier League champions, Grove End were grinning from ear to ear after the draws
were made for the Trophies Engravers-sponsored Top 8 K.O. Cup which is scheduled to get underway on February 11.
Grove End have been drawn against First Division League outfit, Darnall United in the opening round before locking horns with the winner of the Warriors Sport and Frendz clash in the semi's. Having beaten both teams convincing in the 2015 season, they (Grove End) are sure to start favourites for honours in the Top 8 K.O. Cup.
Volleyball enthusiasts can look forward to a mouth-watering quarter-final clash between arch-rivals KSST and Randsons on February 11. There has been a frenzy in the transfer market during the festive period. KSST have made two new signings, which they are holding close to their chest and will unveil on February 11.
The question is: “Will Sandhir “Tinboy” Jugmohan quit Randsons to join KSST at the start of the 2016 season?
Teams participating in the Top 8 K.O. Cup must hand in their player registration booklets together with the 2016 affiliation fee of R500 and player registration fee of R80 per player on Wednesday, February 10 at The Quartz Conference Centre at 7.00pm.
The KDVA annual general meeting will take place on Thursday, February 25 at The Quartz Conference Centre. New clubs seeking affiliation are requested to contact Abraham on 079 4280 345.
12.30pm. Four selected squads comprising of KwaDukuza South I, KwaDukuza South II, KwaDukuza Central and KwaDukuza North (comprising of Darnall and Mandeni Academy) will engage in a round-robin league. The selected iLembe squad (comprising of a minimum of six black players including 2 African players) will participate in the KwaZulu Natal Primary Schools Under-11 festival from 4-6 March in
Durban North. The Under-13 zonal trials are
scheduled for March 17 with the iLembe trials set to take place on April 7at Umhlali Prep.
In other cricket news, iLembe will host a mini-cricket festival on Wednesday, February 17 at the Country Club Ground commencing at 8.30am. For further information regarding the schools league contact Desigan Pillay on 073 8545 786.

Dawnheights winning streak
After a hat trick of victories in both the domestic league as well as the KwaZulu Natal Challenge League (Stream II) a fortnight ago, Dawnheights Cricket Club kept their league title hopes alive with a thrilling 23-runs victory against Tongaat in a KwaZulu Natal Challenge League 50 over game played at the Country Club Ground on Sunday.
Dawnheights won the toss and elected to bat first with openers Sagar Arora and Saurav Singh putting on a splendid opening stand of 63 runs before Saurav (25) was clean bowled by Anuj Janmeda.
Janmeda claimed his 2nd wicket after Keane Govender was adjudged LBW for a solitary run. Adesh Bageloo joined Arora at the crease and this pair took the tally to 94/3 before Arora was caught behind by wicket-keeper

Arun Kumar and Bageloo took the tally from 94/3 to 140/4 before Kumar (26) was clean bowled by Theoshan Naidoo. Bageloo notched up 25 runs which included three boundaries before falling prey to a Danny Nohari delivery.
Shrivar Maharaj was run out for 7 runs before Adhir Maharaj (14) was clean bowled by Janmeda. Dawnheights were bowled out in the 44th over for 187 runs.
The India-born Janmeda was the pick of the Tongaat bowlers claiming 4/30 from 10 overs. Logan Govender, who wrapped up the Dawnheights tail finished with figures of 3/31 from 9 overs.
Chasing 188 runs for victory from 50-overs (at a rate of 3, 76 runs per over) Theoshan Naidoo
and Ashlyn Naidoo gave the visitors a perfect start after putting on a superb 73-runs partnership in the first 18 overs before an early drinks break was declared.
Dawnheights skipper, Adhir Maharaj had some harsh words d u r i n g t h e b r e a k a n dreprimanded his charges. This did the trick and team came out of the break with greater venom with A. Naidoo being clean bowled by Kumar for 33 runs in the 19th over.
Leading by example, Adhir Maharaj dismissed T. Naidoo (34) in the next over to leave the visitors on 73/2. Janmeda and Shaun Pillay put on a 41-runs partnership for the 3rd wicket before Pillay was brilliantly caught on the boundary by Saurav Singh off the bowling of Keane Govender.
Janmeda was clean bowled by fellow Indian compatriot Arora for 21 runs leaving Tongaat in deep trouble at 120/4. With wickets falling at regular intervals thanks to a brilliant bowling spell by Govender, the visitors were clutching on straws at 159/9.
A d h i r M a h a r a jclaimed the final wicket of L. Govender (17) to dismiss Tongaat for 164 runs and guide log leaders, Dawnheights to a thril l ing 23-runs victory. Govender was t h e t o a s t o f t h eDawnheights bowlers claiming 4/26 from 10 overs. Adhir Maharaj grabbed 3/27 from 10 overs.
