CYFLYWYNIAdIntroduction
Mae’n bleser gan Goleg y Gwyddorau Dynol ac Iechyd, Prifysgol Abertawe gyflwyno llawlyfr yn cynnwys geiriau, termau ac ymadroddion Cymraeg defnyddiol wedi eu cyfieithu i’r Saesneg. Y bwriad pennaf yw cynnig ychydig gymorth i’r rhai hynny sy’n llai cyfarwydd â’r iaith Gymraeg. Bwriad y Coleg a’r Brifysgol yw paratoi myfyrwyr i gynnig gwasanaeth o’r safon uchaf sy’n cyrraedd anghenion y cyhoedd. Mae cynnig gwasanaeth ddwyieithog yn rhan bwysig o’r ymdrech hon.
Dewiswyd yr eirfa hon gan ei bod yn berthnasol i faes gofal iechyd a gofal chymdeithasol. Er fod y llyfryn wedi ei drefnu yn ôl gwahanol swyddi, mae rhai ymadroddion a allai fod yn berthnasol i bawb. Felly, awgrymwn eich bod yn cymryd cip olwg ar y llyfryn cyfan.
It’s with pleasure that the College of Human and Health Sciences, Swansea University presents a booklet of useful Welsh words, terms and sayings accompanied by their English translations. The main intention is to offer some assistance to those who may not be very familiar with the Welsh language. The aim of the College and the University is to prepare students to offer a high quality service that meets the needs of the public. Offering a bilingual service is an important part of this endeavour.
This vocabulary was chosen as it is relevant to health and social care. Although the booklet has been organised according to different roles, there are some phrases that may be useful for everyone. Therefore, we suggest that you take a look at the whole booklet.
