GENERATOR ALWAYS ON STANDBY

The Philippines is known to have a rainy season that usually lasts for three to four months. During the strongest typhoons, a� ected regions would normally experience power outages that last for days, or worse up to weeks. At Monol, power outages is not a problem because the building and its operations are supported by Lister Petter, a Diesel-powered generator with wide range and scope. In case of any power out, the generator is always on standby to back up school operations!

DID YOU KNOW THAT...?Monol’s energy consumption is up to 20 KW daily for its services and o� ce operations. During a power out, the Lister Petter generator can support up to seven times the power consumption of the academy. Monol usually makes use of 130 liters of Diesel out of the 350 liters that a Lister Petter generator can contain during an 8-hour power out. In case of unexpected power interruptions, there are 84 emergency lights installed all over the campus that back up the generator as it takes 10 seconds to rev up.

CARING AND NURTURING

All Monol services practice safe and secure measures to guarantee a healthy environment to all its students. Meals are meticulously and carefully prepared, drinking water is puri� ed, and a 24-hour in� rmary is provided.

CLEAN AND SAFE DRINKING WATER

Monol puri� es its own drinking water, instead of purchasing it in the market. Since Monol has started this practice, cases of stomach problems from students have decreased very signi� cantly.

Monol’s drinking water goes through 5 stages of puri� cation and takes 16 minutes. The � lters for the process are changed every 15 to 30 days with regular cleaning and maintenance check-up. Everyday, the academy produces 50-60 bottles, which amounts to around 300 gallons of water and always provide it freshly puri� ed. As a rule to comply with health standards, Monol’s drinking water is tested and approved by the Department of Science and Technology.

CAREFULLY PREPARED FOOD

Apart from water, meals are also meticulously and carefully prepared at Monol. Proper attire and hygiene for preparation and serving are observed and every kitchen sta� has approved health certi� cates for handling food. The kitchen is always open to students and employees.

DID YOU KNOW THAT...?Monol washes meat, fruits, and vegetables using puri� ed water. Plates, bowls, and utensils are washed using � ltered water and are sterilized.

Monol’s kitchen sta� are required to get health certi� cates before getting hired. They renew these certi� cates every six months as required by the City Health O� ce. That said, all students are assured that their food are held by trusted hands!

24/7 CLINIC

Monol always provides assistance to students who need medical attention with its in� rmary and diligent nurses.

For severe cases, the nurse on-duty is capable of accompanying the student to the hospital and is able to assist in scheduling check-ups with medical or dental doctors as well.

VIGILANT AND ALERT

Monol always guarantee that its students are well-protected and are living in a secure environment. Apart from installing CCTV cameras all over the campus, security o� cers are also distributed to shifts for 24-hour protection of students. Further, the academy is situated in a peaceful residential area with a police outpost nearby.

24/7 SECURITY

Monol security o� cers are distributed to three shifts everyday. They are hired and trained by the academy instead of choosing through manpower or security agencies.

Security o� cers are required to get a

license from the Philippine National Police - Civil Security Group - Securities, Agencies,

and Guards Supervision DIvision.

Apart from acquiring a license, all security o� cers of Monol have

undergone additional trainings for handling guns and weapons as well as for � re safety, elevator safety and

power outages. Further, they are also equipped with bulletproof vests,

shotguns, and � rst aid kits.

100 hundred meters away from the Monol campus is the Pinsao Proper Barangay hall and

police outpost. As part of the community’s crime prevention measure, all stores follow a curfew at 21:00 everyday. A “Quiet time” is also imposed to

all residents at 22:00.

The campus has 50 CCTV cameras installed at dormitory � oors, o� ce areas, and more importantly at the security o� cers’ stations.
